The pilot

My House Day is in a pilot. It is free while the pilot runs. Features may change, and we may end the pilot. We'll tell you by email at least 14 days before any charges start, and you can delete your account at any time.

What My House Day does

It turns your answers into a picture list of daily jobs, a dinner menu with recipes, and a shopping list for the person who works in your home. You decide what goes on the list. You stay responsible for your arrangement with them, including their working hours, pay and leave under South African labour law. My House Day doesn't give legal or employment advice.

Recipes and food safety

• Recipes follow short videos made by other people on YouTube. They are a guide, not a guarantee.
• Check ingredients yourself for allergies and food your family can't eat. The food filters help, but they can miss things.
• Make sure food is cooked through, especially chicken, mince and eggs, and that knives and the stove are used safely.
• Videos belong to their creators and open on YouTube.

Your account

• Use a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
• Only share the worker's link with your worker. If it reaches someone else, make a new link on your dashboard.
• Don't put ID numbers, bank details, salaries or health information into My House Day.
• Don't use My House Day to harm, track or monitor anyone, or to break the law.

If something goes wrong

We work to keep My House Day running and your information safe, but we provide it "as is" during the pilot, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on your dashboard. We may close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we'll show the new date here and email you about important changes. South African law applies. Questions: hello@myhouseday.com.
